Found the outdoor unit fan was running, but did not feel or hear compressor running open electrical panel two outdoor unit and check the capacitor for compressor. Capacitor was bad and had replacement on van. Installed and tested checking amp draws.

Received a call about an AC issue. Upon arrival, the indoor furnace was blowing, but the outdoor unit was non-functional. I first checked the power at the contactor and confirmed it was receiving high voltage. I manually bumped the contactor to ensure it operated correctly, which it did. Next, I inspected the low voltage and discovered there was no 24 V reaching the outdoor unit. I then moved to the furnace to check the 24 V supply. The thermostat had been removed earlier, but upon reattaching it and setting it to call for AC, the unit started working. Based on this, I concluded that the Nest thermostat was likely faulty and recommended replacing it.
